Choose mental health care of GGZ Noord-en Midden-Limburg

Everyone gets ill sometimes. When we talk about ‘being ill’, we usually mean some physical complaint. The flu, a broken leg or abdominal pain. These forms of illness are generally accepted and easy to talk about. It is a different thing when you’re dealing with (serious) mental or psychiatric problems. These problems are often concealed. We are unfamiliar with those problems and feel society would rather not be confronted .Yet mental or psychiatric problems occur frequently. About one person out of every four will be dealing with those problems during their lifetime.

There are many forms of mental or psychiatric problems. Fortunately, nowadays many of these forms can be treated. Treatment can consist of therapies, medication, (group) discussions, training, and/or a certain - often more structured way of life.
Examples of problems are: depression, manic-depressive disorder, compulsive disorder, panic disorder and phobias, eating disorder, borderline personality disorder and schizophrenia.
